Objectives

To gather together our culturally diverse community and engage citizens from every walk of life in unique educational and cultural opportunities that reflect and celebrate our heritage.

About VISTA:

A college is not all by itself; it stands on three crucial pillars, namely ACADEMICS, SPORTS and Cultural activities. There is immeasurable hidden talent within the college, and what is talent that remains unacknowledged. It would be indignity to both, the talent and the talented.  So, Vista Club aims at finding those hidden artists and giving them the requisite limelight.

  • To provide a platform to the students to show their hidden talent.
  • To promote UNITY IN DIVERSITY within college.
  • For both college and students to gain recognition in various fields apart from academics.
  • For participants to gain confidence for the long run, in short, for personality development.

Vista is BIT, Durg’s premier cultural club. It was founded in 2015 and has earned remarkable recognition to the college in its one year span. Be it intra or inter college competitions, Vista has put talent on the map.
Vista aims to organize various fronts of a cultural club in a systematic manner. It has five wings under its flag namely, elocution, dramatics, dance, music and fine arts.

With this we organize the students from all batches and branches through a single club and form a multitalented team which can participate in various events.
It has reinvented college culture and steered in the direction of more diverse form of art.
We channel the immense creativity of students in our college and keep them mentally stimulated while enjoying a well-deserved break from studies. It gives both participants and volunteers confidence and experience in team work and organization which in turn caters to the long run personality development.

There are numerous advantages of having a cultural club within college, some of which are listed below:

  • Being culturally active puts the college in a whole new limelight. The people coming up to BITD for admissions will not only be seeing a future with good academics but also a future where one is not denied of opportunities in all fields he/she could think of. Parents would look up to all-round development of their wards and that undeniably a plus point.
  • The club provides the hidden artists a platform with all the exposure or opportunities he/she may require to make full of their hobby time, which would, in turn act as a stress buster to relieve students from the entire load they bear in the academic area.
  • It will give the participants an opportunity to gain self-confidence, experience in team work and get rid of stage-fright. This will cater well to their personality development.
  • Extra-curricular activities/participation adds up some brownie points to the CV of students and also to College’s reputation.
  • To run a huge club as this one is not an easy task at all it is a great opportunity for the interested to autodidact themselves in basic management skills.

In Vista, we conduct regular activities like debates, speeches, quiz, essay writing etc. deliberately hence engaging students to make full use of their idle time. Not just that, but the participants are also trained by the medium of workshops and guidance from experts.

  • Debate competition and essay writing is organized to give a platform to young minds to showcase their talent.
  • Soft skills seminar was conducted by Vista, to enable students to develop their communication skills.
  • A college level aptitude test was organized and winners were suitably awarded.
  • Motivational lectures by eminent personalities are being organized time to time.
  • Induction program of first year students is organized by Vista, to give them a brief outlook of the college and the years to come.
  • Additionally, students from our college have represented BIT in various national level fests like Mood-Indigo, Kshitij, Aarush, Aavartan, Rendezvous and national level MUNs at IIT BHU and KIIT.
