Admission Procedure

Admission to all the courses are conducted through Central Online Counseling administered by Directorate of technical Education, Government of Chhattisgarh. The dates and other details of such counselling are displayed through advertisement in local newspapers as well as their official website (www.cgdteraipur.ac.in). However admission under Sponsored Category, Part Time courses and management Quota seats are administered at the Institute level.

Quota for admission in Undergraduate Courses

As per the admission procedure laid down by the Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Chhattisgarh, 10% of the annual approved intake is reserved for candidates outside Chhattisgarh, 15% of the annual intake is earmarked as management Quota seats and 75% of the annual intake is marked as State (Chhattisgarh) Quota seats for admission to the undergraduate (B.Tech) courses being offered by the Institute. However, this distribution may vary from year to year and hence the aspirants are required to confirm the distribution from the official website of DTE, Govt. of Chhattisgarh.

Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme

Under this scheme an additional 5% students will be admitted as per the guidelines of the Admission Policy framed by the State Government during the concerned year of admission. This intake will be over and above the approved intake. However, TFW will be applicable only if the number of students admitted exceeds the approved intake.

Reservation Policy in admission

The Institute strictly adheres to the reservation policy framed by the State Government vide gazette notification bearing No. F9-02/2012/T.E./42 dated 19.02.2013, which stipulates as under : “From academic session 2013-14 and on wards, 12%, 32% and 14% of total sanctioned seats in different courses provided by private unaided technical educational institutions shall be reserved for the candidates of Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) respectively for the purpose of admission in the State’.

Lateral Entry Second Year

Passing three year diploma in engineering from any recognized Board/University/institute with minimum 45% marks (aggregate) or with minimum 45% marks in final year for UR category and 40% for SC, ST, OBC category and PWD candidates of Chhattisgarh is essential.

Or

Passing B.Sc exam from recognized Universiy/Institute with minimum 45% marks (aggregate) or with minimum 45% marks in final year for UR category and with 40% for SC, ST and OBC category and with 40% for SC, ST, and OBC category and PWD candidate of Chattisgarh is essential. In addition, passing 12th with mathematics as subject is essential. B.Sc candidate shall be considered only when diploma candidates are not available.




B.Voc. is a three-year (six semesters) Undergraduate course. A student pursuing B.Voc. has multiple exit points during the programme and continued industry exposure.
