In alignment with BIT Durg's commitment to academic excellence, industry readiness, and experiential learning, it is proposed to initiate an integrated Student-Faculty Quality Initiative in collaboration with the Indian Foundation for Quality Management (IFQM). The initiative combines: 1. Formation of a Quality Club for students, and 2. Engagement of faculty members in developing short academic cases based on real-life improvement projects from MSME organizations. The Quality Club aims to build a culture of quality mindset among students by equipping them with relevant skills, tools, and exposure required to become industry-ready professionals with a strong orientation toward quality, excellence, and continuous improvement. This will also encourage faculty members to develop short teaching cases for academic use by leveraging improvement projects already implemented in selected MSME organizations, thereby strengthening industry-integrated learning. This combined approach ensures active student participation, faculty development, and strong industry linkage under a common quality and excellence framework.
