Computer Society Of India (CSI)
Computer Society Of India (CSI) was formed in 1965, since then CSI has been instrumental in guiding the Indian IT industry down the right path. Today, the CSI has 72 chapters all over India, 511 student branches, and more than 100000 members including India’s most famous IT industry leaders, brilliant scientists and dedicated academicians.
Bhilai Institute of Technology is registered for CSI in the year 2010 as Educational Institution member.
The college owes an Educational Institution Membership of CSI and the membership has been renewed every year. At present the institute and student chapter of CSI have 6 of faculty members registered and around 200 students members in CSE department.
Every year the students from the third and final year will be made as a team to form the CSI student chapter committee where the president is elected from final year students.

The Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI) is the largest multidisciplinary professional engineering society in South-east Asia to promote the general advancement of engineering and engineering science and their applications in India. It conducts Sections A & B examinations (popularly known as AMIE Examination) in diverse fields of engineering. The IEI, the premier professional body of engineers in India, has contributed significantly in all disciplines of engineering and by virtue of its yeomen contribution in all sectors of applications like academics, administration, manufacturing industry, infrastructure, etc. have grown considerably and thereby promoted the advancement of engineering in all possible forms resulting to empowerment of the society at large clubbed with improvement of quality index of common masses in India. IEI has been functioning under the broad vertical objectives laid down in the Royal Charter, sanctioned in 1935.
