Women Security Cell
To promote SDG 5, gender equality and create an ambience where men and women can work together with a sense of security and dignity.
Women Security Cell is formed as per the provisions of sexual harassment of women act 2013. The members of the committee formed for the session 2020-2021 are:

Duties and responsibilities of the committee
- To examine any complaint/suggestion received from women employees/girls students regarding their security on receipt of the written and signed complaint and recommend action to be taken on the complaint/ suggestion.
- To constantly monitor the arrangement to ensure safety and security of female employees and girl students of the Institute in college campus and girls hostel.
- To periodically review existing arrangements and suggest changes/modification required, if any to strengthen the arrangements with the approval of the management.
- To effectively implement the guidelines showed by statutory authorities such as Central government, State government, UGC, AICTE, University etc. in this regard from time to time.
How the committee works
- Notices have been issued giving details of WSC members to all concerned and disseminated on Institute’s website.
- The complainant will have to submit a written and signed complaint to any of the member of WSC.
- Complaints may be forwarded through Principal also.
- If the case comes under the purview of the cell, the members of the cell will discuss the complaint, hear the complainants and due inquiry is carried out. The committee will submit a report to the principal and recommend the nature of action to be taken
For Awareness
Frequent Programs are held at the institute & girls hostel to make awareness among the women, staff & girl students about their rights & safety issues. Girl students are also given guidance about their personal growth & career issues.
