Santosh Kumar Sar obtained his Ph.D. in the area of Physical Organic chemistry from Pt Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur (1995). He has carried Post Doctoral Research Fellow, in the area of Biomimetic-Chemistry with Prof. Sung Soo Kim, at Department of Chemical & Dynamics Engineering, Inha University, Inchon, South Korea (International Project Brain Korea-21 Sponsored By United states of America). He has been awarded a research fellowship by the Council of Science and Technology, Bhopal (1992-1995). He has been a visiting fellow of different national and international Institutions such as Chulakorn University, Thailand, Institute Kimai Malaysia. Presently he is Professor of Applied chemistry, Bhilai Institute of Technology, DURG under Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University, Bhilai. He is engaged in the teaching subjects applied chemistry, environmental Science, Water recourses management in bachelor of engineering program and disaster management, air pollution, fundamental of environmental engineering, energy & environment, Environmental Impact Assessment etc in master of engineering program. Dr. Sar is actively engaged in research in the field of surface chemistry, drugs,Water ( Environmental Chemistry )medicinal plant and there Extraction (pyrolysis) chemical characterization. He has supervised several PhD , M Tech , M.Phill students degree award from Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University, Bhilai , Pt Ravishankar Shukla University , Raipur , Dr C V Raman University , Bilaspur and MATS University , Raipur .He has handled different national projects such research Promotional scheme, All India Council For Technical Education,New Delhi ,Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology, Raipur ,Chhattisgarh Medicinal Plant Board, Raipur.Recently he is engaged in National Uranium Project under Department of Atomic Energy , Govt of India ,Mumbai to search radioactive elements present in Chhattisgarh state .In his name few patent is registered at Indian patent office, His more than hundred research paper have been published in various international and national journals and two books in Germany Lambert publications. He is in editorial board in different national and international repute journals. He is Fellow of different scientific society viz Indian surface science & technology, Indian Chemical society, Indian science congress association, International journal of Chemistry & Environment. Indian Metrological Society Etc. Presently Dr Sar is holding the post Dean, Chemical & Bio-Technology, Chairman, Environmental Science & Engineering, Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University, Bhilai. And Dean (Student Welfare) at Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg
