Computer Society Of India (CSI) was formed in 1965, since then CSI has been instrumental in guiding the Indian IT industry down the right path. Today, the CSI has 72 chapters all over India, 511 student branches, and more than 100000 members including India’s most famous IT industry leaders, brilliant scientists and dedicated academicians.
Bhilai Institute of Technology is registered for CSI in the year 2010 as Educational Institution member
The college owes an Educational Institution Membership of CSI and the membership has been renewed every year. At present the institute and student chapter of CSI have 6 of faculty members registered and around 200 students members in CSE department
Every year the students from the third and final year will be made as a team to form the CSI student chapter committee where the president is elected from final year students.
